Is there something that you know you want to do but feel afraid? When we realise that something is important to us, we can find the courage to overcome our natural instinct to stay safe. The truth is, we all experience fear and we all experience courage. So what is it that you would do if you were not afraid? It takes courage to stand up and be yourself, to trust your intuition and pursue what you believe in. Ask yourself:
- What would I gain if I did this?
- What would I lose if I did this?
- What would I lose if I didn’t?
- What would I gain if I didn’t
Answering those four questions as honestly as you can will give you some insight into whether or not you should push yourself beyond your comfort zone.
