It’s famously the time of year when people become low and depressed. As a hypnotherapist and NLP Coach, it’s often a busy time. The excitement of Christmas and New Year has ended and we start counting the cost.
It’s also a time of renewed focus and we think about the year ahead and what we would like to achieve.
Even if you didn’t make formal New Year’s Resolutions, most of us decide to make some positive changes at the beginning of the year. What change would you like to make?
Here’s a really simple way to see that change through:
SHARE. Tell friends and family what you want to do. Once they know, they’ll be rooting for you and you won’t want to let them down!
REMIND YOURSELF. Put Post-it notes up with a quick reminder of what you want or set daily reminders on your phone or online calendar.
CELEBRATE. Every time you take a step towards your goal, tell someone what you’ve achieved. A ittle encouragement goes a long way. And remember to treat yourself once your outcome is reached.
I hope 2014 is a year to remember in a good way!
